The FLOAT Study

Evaluating non-invasive supplements to reduce vitreous floaters.

Purpose

The FLOAT Study is a clinical research trial designed to evaluate the potential benefits of a non-invasive, nutritional supplement for individuals experiencing symptomatic vitreous floaters.

Vitreous floaters are a common age-related change in the eye that can interfere with visual clarity and quality of life. Currently, treatment options are very limited, often invasive, and not widely recommended unless symptoms are severe.

This study aims to explore whether targeted nutritional support can improve visual quality and reduce the burden of floaters using objective and subjective outcome measures. By combining advanced imaging technology with participant-reported outcomes, we hope to better understand the role of dietary supplementation in supporting the health and transparency of the vitreous body.
